Discover Santa Cruz’s environmental resources and efforts to protect them at the Municipal Wharf. With both a self-guided or guided tour option led by Seymour Marine Discovery Center Docents, web visitors can download an EcoTour map and brochure, to view “Green Spot” locations and topics featured on the EcoTour. Guided tours are offered year-round for free on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM for thirty minutes each. Extending half a mile out to sea, the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf is the longest Wharf in the U.S. and brings visitors into a true marine environment with whales, dolphins, sea lions, otters, fish, sea birds, and other marine life.

Be sure to patronize the Monterey Bay Green Businesses along the EcoTour route…Green Rebate Programs offer businesses on the Wharf the opportunity to reduce their operating costs and greenhouse gas emissions. By “greening” businesses on the Wharf, Santa Cruz will take a large step in achieving its Climate Action Plan and the Wharf may serve as a model for others looking to achieve the same goal.
